What do we do?

We at the Manningham Eisteddfod Society are committed to the development of music and the arts in our community. By providing many young musicians with the chance to perform we can encourage and stimulate their learning experience.

Each year, the Eisteddfod receives approximately 700 performers who compete in Piano, Vocal, Strings and Speech & Drama sections. Not only do they compete for over $4000 in medals and prize money, but more importantly, all the competitors gain experience in performing for an audience, and received an individual critique from an adjudicator. Providing opportunities for our community’s young musicians is something that we at the Society hope to be doing for many more years to come.

The Eisteddfod is of course a non-profit organization, and any profits we do make (which are rare!) go into providing an even better Eisteddfod the following year.
